Bibi Abel is back at Oper Frankfurt for this new production of Rossini's Bianca e Falliero. Other recent productions for the company were Szymanowski's Król Roger / King Roger (which is being revived this season), the very successful, visually stunning, world premiere of Der Mieter / The Tenant, Weinberg's Die Passagierin / The (female) Passenger, Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Adriana Lecouvreur,& Britten's Paul Bunyan, Ezio, Tosca, Radamisto, Shostakovitch's Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk and Fauré's only opera Pénélope. Other theatres where she has worked have included the Schauspiel in Graz, the Schauspielhaus in Zürich, the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, Theater Gessnerallee in Zürich, the Maxim Gorki Theater, Schauspiel Essen, Aalto-Theater Essen and Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich for productions directed by David Bösch, Heike M. Götze, Agnese Cornelio, Andreas Kriegenburg, Jan Bosse, Keith Warner, Vincent Boussard, Johannes Erath, Vera Nemirova, David Alden, and others. She studied at the Werkkunstschule in Cologne before concentrating on multimedia.
