Ilse Welter-Fuchs has worked on many Christof Nel productions, including Aida at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Idomeneo at Cologne Opera, Don Carlo at the Staatstheater in Hannover, La clemenza di Tito and Pelléas et Mélisande at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Der Freischütz at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice's Teatro Malibran, Fidelio at the Komische Oper Berlin and Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Madame Butterfly, Salome, Parsifal, Kullervo and this production of Die Frau ohne Schatten at Oper Frankfurt. She has worked just as often with the director Ulrich Waller, most recently on Cabaret at the Hansa Varieté Theater in Hamburg and 4000 Days and Monsieur Claude and his Daughter at the St. Pauli Theater. Alongside a great many productions of operas and plays she has also worked on films (NDR-Special and Theater Projects with Horst Königstein).
