Xabier Anduago is one of the world’s operatic shooting stars. Born in San Sebastian, he’s taking leading stages by storm: during the 2025/26 season he sang Werther at the Gran Theatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Elvino (La sonnambula) at the Met in New York, Alfredo (La traviata) at the Opéra de Paris and the Vienna State Opera, Tonio (La fille du regiment) at the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Duke (Rigoletto) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. These were preceded by great success at houses including Covent Garden in London, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and Teatro Real de Madrid. His soft timbre, shimmering effortlessly with a wide range of colours, has won him many awards, including »Best Young Singer of 2021« at the International Opera Awards.
