Jack Swanson goes from one triumph to the next, amazing audiences with his virtuosity in music by Rossini and Donizetti in America and Europe. He made his debut at Oper Frankfurt last September with the demanding role of Rodrigo in a wonderful new production of Rossini’s Otello. Recent engagements have included Belmonte (role debut) in Die Entführung aus dem Serail at Opera Omaha, Lindoro in L’italiana in Algeri and Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia at Santa Fe Opera, where he used to be a member of the young artists programme, title role in Candide at Los Angeles Opera and Ramiro (La Cenerentola) at Houston Grand Opera. He sang his first Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore in Oslo and has appeared at Cologne Opera and the Glyndebourne Festival. He recently took the title role in the world premiere of Paola Prestini’s Edward Turlane in his home town of Minnesota. Now you have a chance to be blown away by his artistry again in his first recital in Frankfurt.
