Since winning an Oper! award for »Best Up and Coming Singer of 2024« he’s been enjoying great success at opera houses including Covent Garden in London, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Opéra national de Paris, and the Aix-en-Provence, Salzburg and Glyndebourne festivals. This season he makes house and role debuts at the Vienna State Opera, the Grand Theatre del Liceu in Barcelona and Opéra de Monte-Carlo, singing roles including Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), Dandini (La Cenerentola) and Pelléas (Pélleas et Mélisande). This young British baritone has also made a name for himself as a recitalist, singing Schubert’s Schöne Müllerin in Leeds and his debut album Contemplations won a 2025 Gramophone Classical Music Award. Now he’s making his debut in Frankfurt with a programme including Vaughan Williams’ Songs of Travel, Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, Schönberg’s early op. 2 Lieder and Three Love Songs by Jonathan Dove and David Rendall.
