Football encounters opera on October 21, when Willy-Brandt-Platz becomes the venue for a very unusual public happening.
What happens when Eintracht Frankfurt fans encounter the world of opera? When an opera house turns into a football pitch and a goal is greeted by music and visuals? Come and find out for yourselves.
Oper and Eintracht Frankfurt join forces with American Express to invite you to this free event, which starts at 6.30pm in the heart of the city, with the building being turned into a spectacular projection screen: music, movement and football creating an extraordinary visual experience.
Opera meets Eintracht Frankfurt Football
The evening kicks off with artists from Oper Frankfurt: operatic music combined with tunes linked to Eintracht Frankfurt in front of the big screen. Then it's football's turn, with players from Eintracht's ladies team starting some interactive fun, with some spectators (a maximum of 120, who can register online from 8pm for one of the limited slots) getting the chance to have a shot at goal in open goal sessions - each goal and attempt at goal becoming part of the whole, triggering visual and audio effects on the opera house/big screen. Then 10 finalists kick it off against one another in a grand football finale!
An Evening for Frankfurt
For those who don't want to try and score a goal there are DJs and food and drink for you to buy, while basking in this special atmosphere and watching the "screen".
