Carla Teti works regularly with the directors Damiano Michieletto, Daniele Abbado, Andrei Konchalovski and Andrea Breth. She has designed costumes for productions at many leading opera houses and festivals including Il trittico and Idomeneo at the Theater an der Wien, Cavalleria rusticana / Pagliacci and Guillaume Tell at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Don Carlo and Il trovatore at the Vienna State Opera, Samson et Dalila at the Opéra national de Paris, Boris Godunow and Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Regio Turin, Roméo et Juliette and The Rake’s Progress at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Un ballo in maschera at La Scala Milan, Lucia di Lammermoor at Zurich Opera, Ermione at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Medea at the Staatsoper Berlin and La Bohème and Falstaff at the Salzburg Festival. She also works with the »I Fratellini« group on plays. Carla Teti studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome. She won the 2011 Franco Abbiati critics' prize, an International Opera Award and the 2017 Oscar della lirica. She is making her debut at Oper Frankfurt with this new production of Rossini's Otello.
