Swiss born Andi A. Müller made his debut at Oper Frankfurt in 2019 with this production of Rodelinda. He started working at Theater Basel in 2004 designing videos for opera and drama, where he first worked on a production directed by Claus Guth. They now work closely together on projects which have taken them to places including the Salzburg Festival, the Opéra national de Paris, Teatro Real in Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, La Scala Milan, Covent Garden in London, Zurich Opera, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Canadian Opera Company and the Nikikai Opera Foundation and Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo. He was video master and designer at Schauspiel Zurich from 2006-2022, where he recorded Live Videos for Matthias Hartmann and designed videos for people including Thomas Koerfer, Samir Jamal Aldin, Stefan Kaegi/Rimini Protokoll, Lola Arias, Barbara Frey, Stefan Pucher, Daniela Löffner, Heike M. Goetze, Thomas Jonigk, Leonhard Koppelmann, Karin Henkel, Werner Düggelin, Dani Levy and Christoph Marthaler. He was taught by Nam June Paik at the Academy of Arts in Düsseldorf and studied psychology in art and experimental aesthetics.
