The Turkish soprano Ekin Su Paker made her debut in Frankfurt in 2020/21 while a member of Oper Frankfurt's Opera Studio singing in Pergolesi's Stabat mater and  Barbarina in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, a role she recently sang at the Theater an der Wien. She returned as a guest to sing Sylviane (role debut) in the Merry Widow and Rosina for an Opera for Children production of The Barber of Seville and is back this season to sing Hänsel in an Opera for Children production and Pipetta, the Innkeeper's Daughter, & Duchess in this new production of Offenbach's The Bandits. She recently sang Helmwige in a new production of Die Walküre at the Tirol Festival in Erl, Adina and Giannetta (L’elisir d’amore), Poppea (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Blanche (Dialogues des Carmelites), Celia (La fedelta premiata), Eurydike (Orpheus in der Unterwelt), Anna Reich (The Merry Wives of Windsor), Despina (Cosi fan tutte) and Adele (Die Fledermaus) at places including the Staatstheater in Wiebaden, the Süreyya Opera House in Istanbul, the Ballet & Opera Festival in Ephesos, the House for Music and Music Theatre (MUMUTH) in Graz and the Woodhouse Opera Festival in London. She worked with leading artists, directors and conductors at Woodhouse Opera Festival, the Efes-Opera and Ballet Festival in Ephesos, the Hours for Music and Opera in Graz (MUMTH), Leyla Gencer Opera and Art Center and the Süreya Opera House in Istanbul. She studied at Istanbul University's State Conservatory and gained her Master in Opera from the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Graz. She won the 2016 Istanbul Baroque Festival Competition and reached the finals of İzmir State Opera's 2018 National Competition for Young Soloists and the 2018 Siemens Opera Competition in Istanbul. She reached the finals of the Bertelsmann Foundation's 2019 Neue Stimmen International Singing Competition in Gütersloh.
