The Dutch-German dancer Julia Alsdorf, making her debut at Oper Frankfurt in this new production of Mitridate, re di Ponto, trained as a ballet dancer at the Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag before attaining her Bachelors at the HfMDK in Frankfurt. She danced in operas at the Staatstheater in Darmstadt including Pnima…ins Innere, Elektra (dir: Karsten Wiegand), Tristan und Isolde (dir: Eva-Maria Höckmayr) and MEGA, under Kerem Hillel's direction. She also takes part in artistic and edcational projects run by institutions including the Mousonturm, Städel and Weltkulturen museums in Frankfurt and the Felina Theatre in Mannheim. She danced in works choreographed by Jiří Kylián, Lee/Vakulya, Menghan Lou, Sade Mamedova, Richard Oberscheven and, intensively, Wen Hui, as dancer and artistic project assistant. She was awarded the 2023 Alix Steilberger prize for her dancing abilities.
