Victoria Constien

Born in Göttingen in 1994, Victoria Constien started playing the cello when she was 6, going on to study at the University for Music, Theatre & Media's Institute for Nurturing Young Talents in Hannover with Prof. Leonid Gorokhov, who guided her through her bachelor and master degrees. She furthered her studies at the University for Music and Theatre in Hamburg with Prof. Sebastian Klinger, graduating with honours. She gained further artistic stimulus and inspiration from Anner Bylsma, Jaap ter Linden, Martin Löhr, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Jens Peter Maintz, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Gregor Horsch and as part of the Mahler Academy. She rounded her studies off after being granted scholarships by the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam's orchestra academies, playing with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, supplementing the NDR Radiophilharmonie and NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, and going under contract to the Bavarian Radio's Symphonieorchester and Hamburg State Philharmonic Orchestra. She made her debut in concert when she was 15, going on to appear as soloist with orchestra's including the Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, the Braunschweig Staatsorchester and Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. She started a trial period as deputy solo cellist with the Frankfurt Opern and Museumsorchester in Sepember 2025
