Born in Frankfurt am Main, Samuel Park studied in Weimar, Dresden and Aachen before his music career took him too the USA, aged 19, where he attained his bachelors and 2 master degrees at the University of West Florida, University of North Texas and the Juilliard School in New York. He was taught the violin by Gerhard Miesen, Roman Nodel, Charles Linale, Leonid Yanovskiy, Emanuel Borok, Cynthia Roberts and Monica Huggett and gained further invaluable experience taking part in mastercourses held by Yehudi Menuhin, Itzakh Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, the Juilliard and Tokyo string quartets. He gained orchestral experience as leader of the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and playing with the Oregon Symphony Orchestra and for the Staatstheater in Darmstadt. He has played chamber music with members of the Guarneri and Turtle Island string Quartets. Passionate about baroque music he has appeared in concert with conductors including Ton Koopman, Monica Huggett, Jordi Savall, Richard Egarr and performed with ensembles including Les Arts Florissants, the Juilliard Baroque Orchestra and Portland Baroque Orchestra. Samuel Park plays 2nd violin in the Frankfurt Opern und Museumsorchester.
