Aurélien Laizé was born in France and studied with Christian Schmitt and Sébastien Giot at the Académie Supérieure de musique de Strasbourg before going to the University for Music and Theatre in Hannover in 2018 to study with Kai Frömbgen. He gained further invaluable experience performing with orchestras including the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the NDR Radio Philharmonic in Hannover and youth orchestras including the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival orchestra and Gustav Mahler Academy. After time spent under contract as solo cor anglais with the Gewandhausorchester in Leipzig he joined the Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester for the 2023/24 season.
