Almuth Turré was born in Halle and grew up in Leipzig. After the reunification of Gemany she was strongly influenced musically as a scholarship holder with the Gewandhaus Orchestra under Kurt Masur – and inspiring work under Claudio Abbado with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, which he brought to life. She still plays in Leipzig, preferably Bach – and Mozart everywhere. Apart from her happy and busy work in the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester Almuth Turré is a real family person, and passionate Frankfurter. Since the Millenium, after many years working with the Philharmonic Staatsorchester in Hamburg ,she moved to the metropole on the Main, and lives within walking distance from Oper Frankfurt with her family. Living in this lovely city, with all its contrasts, is close to her heart, which is why she is passionately involved in voluntary work.
