Subscription (Abo) holders These uncertain times mean that things can change at any minute. We are doing all we can make sure subscription holders can see their performances and be kept informed. Demand for the limited number of seats available is high, so we apologise in advance if you are kept waiting for answers to enquiries made by telephone or email. Our Abo(subscription)service is open.

Advance booking In order to be flexible it has been decided that tickets will go on sale on the 7th of the month before the performance in question.

Can I get a ticket? It's worth looking atThe Season, Day by Day - or popping in to the evening box office.

Changes to the Season Rules imposed on rehearsal and performance conditions has led to the following changes having to be made: new productions of Ligeti's Le Grand Macabre, Offenbach's Die Banditen and Zemlinsky's Der Traumgörge have been postponed to a later season and replaced by Menotti's The Medium (with works for chorus & orchestra), a Pergolesi La serva padrona / Stabat mater double bill and Frank Martin's Le vin herbé.

Introductory talks are not taking place at the moment but will be available, in German, on YouTube shortly before the first night of the opera in question.

COMING TO A PERFORMANCE - please read and adhere to these corona safety rules

Evening box office and theatre opens 1 hour, auditorium 45 mins, before performances begin.

Take care and think of others if you sneeze or cough, keep your distance from other people (min 1½ metres), and don't forget to wash your hands! There are disinfection dispensers by the doors into the theatre and in the washrooms.

By law, masks covering your nose and mouth must be worn in all areas of the theatre. Masks must be worn until you are in your seat and performance begins.

We are obliged by law to keep a list of people entering the building to ensure that a chain of infection can be traced if necessary, so need your name, address and date of birth when you purchase a ticket. All data will be destroyed 30 days later.

Only 390 people are allowed into the auditorium at one time at the moment, unless the authorities decide to change this. Keeping our distance rules mean that only every second row can be used, with 2 empty seats between seats or couples. 

Cloakrooms are open again. Please put smaller items (hats, gloves, scarves) into pockets or sleeves of your coat/jacket to minimise contact.

Limited catering is on offer again, but only in the Wolken foyer (1st floor). If the weather is good a bar will be open outside.
