Kathi Sendfeld, who was born and grew up in Berlin, started working as a director's assistant and souffleuse on works staged by Frank Castorf and René Pollesch at the Volskbühne in Berlin. She studied applied musicology in Gießen and has been working as a costume designer in the "free scene" and at the Stadttheater in Gießen, where she gained her masters after designing costumes for „Tyll“, a play. She has been working regularly with the FUX Performancekollektiv since 2013, performing at the HAU Berlin, Mousonturm Frankfurt and at various festivals. Their film, for the big screen, From Horror Till Oberhausen was shown at the 2021 Dramatics Festival in Graz and deemed one of the most „innovative and powerful productions of 2020/21“ in a retrospective about the DER FAUST theatre prizes, and won Kathi Sendfeld a nomination for costume designer of the year from critics from Theater heute magazine. She's been a member of the queer-feministic Elektropop-Video-Performance-Kollektivs UNA RAY since 2021. The music video for everyone said was included in the 2023 Berlin Music Video Awards' Silver Selection.
