During the 2025/26 season Slovakian born Judita Nagyová, who joined the Ensemble in 2014/15, can be heard singing Xenia's nurse in a new production of Mussorgky's Boris Godunov and Mrs Sedley & Bronka in revivals of Britten's Peter Grimes & Weinberg's The (female) Passenger. She studied in Bratislava and spent time in the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf's opera studio and the Staatstheater in Nürnberg's ensemble before coming to Frankfurt, where her many roles have included Martha (Iolanta), Wellgunde (Das Rheingold), Rossweiße (Die Walküre), Hannah (Weinberg's The (female) Passenger), Anna (Les Troyens), Geneviève (Pelléas et Mélisande), Cherubino and Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro), Pippo (The Thieving Magpie), Old Woman / Old Lady (Martinů's Julietta - get the CD! - OehmsClassics), Mercédès (Carmen), Kristina (The Makropoulos Case), Tisbe (La Cenerentola), a Page (Salome), 1st Maid (Elektra), Maddalena (Rigoletto) and a Lady-in-Waiting, Souffrance & Flowermaiden in last season's new productions of Henze's Prince of Homburg, Magnard's Guercœur & Wagner's Parsifal. She sang in the world premiere of Arnulf Herrmann's Der Mieter / The Tenant (commissioned by Oper Frankfurt) and appeared at the Festwochen in Vienna, the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Wexford Festival, sang Mercédès two summers' running in Bregenz, Olga in Eugene Onegin in Mannheim and enjoyed great success as Ježibaba in Rusalka and Erda (role debut) in Rheingold at the Tirol Festival in Erl.
