Pere Llompart

Pere Llompart studied piano, viola and composition in Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona before taking up singing with Werner Hollweg in Freiburg. He joined masterclasses run by Renato Capecchi and Herbert Lippert (Münchener Singschul'). Pere Llompart is equally at home in early and contemporary music. After time spent with the Chamber Opera in Constance, in Freiburg and Nordhausen he joined Oper Frankfurt's Chorus. His operatic repertoire includes Beppe (I Pagliacci), Primo Tenore (Viva la Mamma), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Truffaldino (The Love for Three Oranges), Macduff (Macbeth), Helmsman (The Flying Dutchman), Testo (Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda) and Alfredo (La Traviata). Solo roles for Oper Frankfurt have included ones in Dallapiccola's Volo di notte, Mussorgsky's Khovanshchina, de Falla's A Short LifeDie Zauberflöte and now the Windmill in this revival of Honegger's Jeanne d'Arc au Bûcher
