Christian Clauß

Christian Clauß, born in 1984, qualified as an engineer at the University of Applied Science in Merseburg, trained as an actor at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University for Music and Theatre in Leipzig and was a member of the ensemble at the State Schauspiel in Dresden from 2009 -2017. He has worked with many directors, including Matthias Reichwald, Tilmann Köhler, Susanne Lietzow, Andreas Kriegenburg, Nurkan Erpulat and Frank Hoffmann. Since going freelance in 2017 he's performed at places including the Volkstheater in Vienna and Schauspiel in Düsseldorf. Other engagements have included appearances at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg, Saarland's Staatstheater and Dresden's Staatsoperette. He's also much in demand for work on television and in films, including the lead role in Andrej Konchalowsky's film Paradise, which won a Silver Bear at the Film Festival in Venice.
