Inés Valderas

The Spanish dancer Inés Valderas, making her debut at Oper Frankfurt in this new production of Mitridate, re di Ponto, in which she appeared when it first opened at the Teatro Real in Madrid, trained at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música in Madrid while studying psycho-education and theatre. She was a member of the Losdedae Company, run by Chevi Muraday, for ten years, taking part in works including Le Plánchere, Return, Teresa ora al alma, Más muerta que viva, Sumérgete and Las Plañideras. She also appeared in works choreographed by Antonio Ruz, Humanhood and Sadeck Waff, in the dance-theatre project Forever Van Gogh (dir: Ignasi Vidal) and Robert Carsen's production of Mozart's Idomeneo, re di Creta at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Other work has included a music video for Tove Lo's No one dies from love (dir: ALASKA, choreographed by Toogie Saurus), filmed live at the Metropolitano football stadium in Madrid. She co-founded the Ginebra Movement, directing movement and choreography for advertising compaigns and fashion shows. She was Co-Direktor, Co-Autor and dancer on two dance films: HABITAT (which won the Standard Vision Showcase Award at the LA Dance Film Festival) and AWARE (which was also seen at many international film festivals).
