Julen Pazos, who is making his debut at Oper Frankfurt in this new production of Mitridate, re di Ponto, in which he took part when it first opened in Madrid, started learning classical ballet with Rebeca García. He joined the Royal Academy of Dance in London before studying modern and contemporary dance at the Schule Danza 180 in Madrid, where he was awarded several scholarships to complete his training in New York at schools including Steps on Broadway, BDC and Alvin Ailey. He took part in video clips for artists including Juan Magán, Ana Mena, Agoney and Primavera Praga, worked as a choreographer's assistant and performer in the musical Hueco. He danced and worked as a choreographer in the Poramoralarte series and performed in the Bolonia Experimental Dance Movement's production of MOTHER. He worked as a dancer and acrobat for Remarc International (in Greece) and appeared at Madrid's Film Festival alongside Mikael Fau. He acted roles in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice und Verdi's La traviata, acted and danced in Verdi's Otello.  He runs the Lúa Dance Company and gives workshops in music theatre and contemporary dance.
