Yejin Yang

Yejin Yang was born on Jeju island, South Korea, and started playing the violin when she was 8. After appearing solo in concerts and enjoying success at competitions she studied at Hanyang University in Seoul before going to be taught by Igor Malinovsky at the Carl Maria von Weber University for Music in Dresden. She then took up the viola and gained her masters and participated in masterclasses at the University for Music in Würzburg with Nimrod Guez. Her orchestral career began at the Mainfranken Theater in Würzburg, then the Augsburg and Dortmund philharmonics, Hamburg's Philharmonic State Orchester and the Düsseldorf Symphony. She joined the Frankfurt Opern and Museumsorchester at the start of the 2025/26 season.
