Maximilian Kutzner joined Oper Frankfurt's team of extras in 2023. After appearing in Ligeti's Le Grand Macabre, Stephan's Die ersten Menschen (The First People), Verdi's Don Carlo and Aida and Offenbach's The Bandits you can now see him in this new production of Tannhäuser. He has also performed for Schauspiel Frankfurt, in Claudia Bauer's production of Buñuel's The discreet Charms of the Bourgeoisie. He appeared at the Semperoper in Dresden in Shostakovitch's The Nose, Meyerbeer's Les Huguenots and Rossini's Il viaggio a Reims. He trained in ballet and tap dancing and often plays the viola in orchestras and chamber groups. He's currently enrolled in a PhD for far-right research at the chair of international institutions and peace processes at the Goethe University in Frankfurt.
