Richard Oberscheven is an interdisciplinary artist, working as a choreographer, dancer, teaching ballet and improvisition, music producer and vinyl DJ. He's been influencing the free dance scenes in Frankfurt am Main and Mannheim for many years. His repertoire includes evening long and short dance productions. He received the 2019 Jury Award for »Best Performer« for As I would like at the SoloDuo Festival in NRW. He gained his Bachelor of Arts at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt on a scholarship awarded by the Deutsche Volk. He worked for Saarländ's Staatstheater's ballet and the Tanz Company in Gießen and has been freelance for more than ten years. He took part in productions staged by artists including Tony Rizzi, Taulant Shehu, Sade Mamedova, Amelia Eisen, Crystal Schüttler, Verena Kutschera and Marie-Luise Thiele.and is a member of Hennermann's Horde and the 5elefants Tanz Collective.
