The dancer and performer Irene Madrid graduated from the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza in Madrid and has gained international respect as a trainer. She now concentrates on taking part in operatic productions, appearing at leading opera houses including the Opéra Royal de la Monnaie in Brüssel, De Nationale Opera in Amsterdam, the Grand Theatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Real de Madrid, the Semperoper in Dresden, Opéra Comique in Paris and Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse. Other modern and contemporary projects have enabled her to work with the Physical Momentum Company, the Marie Martinez Company and Wim Vandekeybus.
