The soprano Julia Grüter is appearing at Oper Frankfurt for the first time, singing Susanna in this performance of our new Le nozze di Figaro.  She's a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater in Nürnberg, where she sang Susanna for the first time last season and the lead in Maria von Bayern's Talestri.  This season she sings the title role in La Calisto again, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) and Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus). She recently added new roles to her repertoire in her home house, including Micaëla (Carmen), Mélisande (Pelleas et Mélisande), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Euridice (Monteverdi's L'Orfeo), Romilda (Xerxes) and Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel). Recent guest engagements have included Zdenka (Arabella) at the Aalto Theater Essen and singing in Bayreuth. Her concert repertoire includes Haydn's Creation, Mendelssohn's Elijah and the Mozart and Brahms requiems. She recently appeared with orchestras including the WDR Funkhaus Orchester, the Nürnberg Staats Philharmonie and the Linz Bruckner Orchester.
