The bass Lennart S. Kost is back at Oper Frankfurt to sing a Conspirator this revival of Kurt Weill’s The Tsar wants his Photograph Taken - a role with which he made his debut with the company when it first opened, which was followed by a Flemish Deputy Verdi's Don Carlos and Melisso in Alcina's Magic Island, an opera for children. In 2023/24 he sang a Servant in Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos and 1st Nobleman in Schreker's The Smith from Ghent at the National Theatre in Mannheim, where he studied with Prof. Timothy Sharp at the University for Music. He started his career singing with the Aurelius Choristers Calw. He has appeared with choruses including Stuttgart Chamber Choir and Theater Heidelberg’s chorus and is a member of the »buffoni« vocal ensemble.
