Guillermo de la Chica works in dance, theatre and music. Born in Spain he gained his bachelors in dance at the HfMDK here in Frankfurt where he worked with well known choreographers including Dieter Heitkamp, Johannes Wieland, Iván Pérez and Georg Reischl. He gained additional experience and inspiration in recent years taking part in interdisciplinary projects with artists including Gustavo Gomes, Tobias Staab, Robyn Orlin, Paula Rosolen / Haptic Hide, Amelia Uzategui and Katja Erdmann-Rajski. Now he’s back at Oper Frankfurt, where he took part in Vasily Barkhatov’s production of Tchaikovsky’s The Sorceress, to dance in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Night before Christmas. He has also danced at the Staatstheater in Wiesbaden. He regularly works as a choreographer at festivals, most recently on Like Dorothy on her way to Oz for Zukunft Tanzt in Frankfurt.
