After graduating from the Conservatoire for Dance in Madrid Haizam Fathy has worked with companies including the Ballet National de Marseille, where he appeared in works by Marie-Claude Pietragalla, Norbert Schmuki and Frédéric Flamand. Other engagements have taken him to Italy (places including the Fiesole and Padua festivals and the Teatro Nuovo in Turin) and Portugal, where he worked with Hofesh Schechter and Savio de Luna. He took part in various projects by the Belgian dance company Peeping Tom at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid. He appears regularly in opera productions at the Teatro Real de Madrid, directed by people including Robert Wilson, David Alden, Robert Castro, Hugo de Ana and Calixto Bieito and has appeared at many leading opera houses in the German speaking world in Christoph Marthaler productions. He is also involved in educational projects as a choreographer and dancer, including the Junta de Andalucía's Clasijazz.
