Born in Friedberg (Bayern) Mirjam Motzke, who started dancing at a ballet school in her home town of Mering, was recently seen dancing in a Bluebeard's Castle / La Voix Humaine double bill at the 2026 Tirol Festival in Erl. Now she's back at Oper Frankfurt, where she danced in Glaus Guth's productions of Dialogues des Carmélites and Elektra, and a production of Don Pasquale, for this new production of Handel's Ottone. Recent engagements have taken her to the the State Ballet in Wiesbaden and Staatstheater in Darmstadt. Whilst still a student she danced in works choreographed by people including William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián and Tanja Liedtke. She has also worked with other choreographers including Johannes Wieland, Regina van Berkel, Ivan Perez, Emmanuel Gat, Paul White, Georg Reischl, Ayman Harper and Dieter Heitkamp, Tim Plegge and Sharon Eyal. She studied classical, contemporary and improvisational dance at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt from 2017 - 2023 and started studying for her masters at the HZT in Berlin in 2025.
