Jens Bischof comes from Gelsenkirchen and had his first clarinet lesson at the music school there. His studies took him to the University for Music in Detmold and Prof. Klaus. He gained invaluable experience as a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the Orchester Adademy in Munich for his time at the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester, where he has been solo clarinettist since 2001. He continues to play with various other German orchestras, including the Bayerische Staatsorchester, the Bavarian Radio's Symphony Orchestra and the WDR Symphony Orchestra.
