Isabel Robson has been making videos for plays, operas, performances and installations since 2002 mostly, in Germany. She has worked with the director Vincent Boussard before, on Otello - a co-production between the Salzburg Easter Festival and the Semperoper in Dresden, Candide and Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny / The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny at the Staatsoper in Berlin (Schillertheater) and L’amico Fritz at the Opéra National du Rhin in Strassburg. Other recent work has included Lesbos – Blackbox Europa and Vier Tage im Juli (Four Days in July) – Blackbox G20 with Gernot Grünewalds at the Deutsche Theater Berlin and Voyage, a Philipp Preuß project at the Schaubühne in Berlin. She was also responsible for filming and cutting the film Marina with the Theaterkollektiv werkgruppe2, which was awarded the 2018 Golden Taube (Dove) prize in the German short film competition by Festival Dok Leipzig. Isabel Robson also spent time as an assistant at Theater Basel and National Theatre in London and has worked at, amongst others, the Maxim Gorki Theater, Sophiensäle Berlin, the Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Schauspiel Hannover and the Festspielhaus in Hellerau. She trained at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
