Florentine Klepper's productions at Oper Frankfurt were Martinů's Julietta, Telemann's Orpheus, Arnulf Herrmann's Wasser (world premiere; co-production with the Munich Biennale and Ensemble Modern) and last season's new production of Smetana's Dalibor. She recently worked on Salome and Norma at Graz Opera, where she is a regular guest. Other recent productions have included Giulio Cesare in Egitto and Die tote Stadt / The Dead City at Theater Freiburg, Don Giovanni at Theater Klagenfurt, Katja Kabanowa and Hosukawa's Hanjo at Theater Bern, and Der fliegende Holländer / The Flying Dutchman and Arabella (a co-production with the Salzburg Easter Festival under Christian Thielemann) at the Semperoper in Dresden. She directs Dvoráks Rusalka at this year's Tirol Festival in Erl. Other places where Florentine Klepper has directed plays and operas have included the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, the Staatstheater in Stuttgart, Staatstheater in Karlsruhe, the Deutsche Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, Lucerne Theater, Halle Opera and the Munich Biennale and A*Devantgarde Festival. She was house director at Theater Basel from 2009 - 2011.
