Vincent Boussard

Vincent Boussard directed Gluck's Ezio, Cilea's Adriana Lecouvreur and this production of Bellini's I puritani, a co-production with the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, at Oper Frankfurt. After making his debut at the Studio-Théâtre at the Comédie-Française he started concentrating on opera in 2001. He has directed prouctions at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Opéra National du Rhin in Strassburg, Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the Berlin, Munich, Dresden and Hamburg state operas, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Royal Opera in Stockholm, Theater an der Wien, San Francisco Opera, the New National Theatre in Tokyo, Korean National Opera in Seoul and the Salzburg Easter and Aix-en-Provence festivals, in Innsbruck, Spoleto and Manaus working with conductors including Yves Abel, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Lionel Bringuier, Riccardo Frizza, Daniel Harding, René Jacobs, Alexander Joel, Carlo Montanaro, Andreas Spering and Christian Thielemann. His production of Manon, at the National Theatre in Vilnius was also seen at San Francisco Opera, the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv and Seoul Arts Centre. Other recent work has included Le nozze di Figaro in Marseille, Les contes d'Hoffmann in Seoul and Dialogue des Carmélites in Riga. Some of his productions were broadcast on television and recorded on DVD: Frühlingserwachen / Spring's Awakening (»Diapason d’or«), Don Giovanni (ARTE-Live), Dido and Aeneas, I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Madama Butterfly, La finta giardiniera and Otello.
