This professional costume designer and art historian started working at Oper Frankfurt in 2024. She came here from Moscow, where she gained her bachelors in Art history, via Berlin (university for the arts), where she graduated in costume design under the guidance of Florence von Gerkan and Lisa Meier. She's been working as a costume designer and assistant costume designer on films and productions since 2020, including Damaged Lemons (2021) directed by Naëmi Bachtermann, for which Polina Shpazhnikova received a special prize in 2025 for Best Costume Designer. Her ideas for costumes, and how they turned out, was evident when Sarah Miro Fischer's 2023 film Schwesterherz won a prize at the First Steps Awards.
