Anne Rabe writes plays, scripts and essays. Her plays have won her many scholarships and prizes. She was part of a team of writers working on »Warten auf´n Bus (waiting for a bus)«. Her essays and articles deal with East Germany's violent past, the life of Jan Ullrich, subtle forms of sexual violence and escalating right-wing extremism in Germany and Europe. Her first novel Die Möglichkeit von Glück (A chance of Happiness), published by Klett-Cotta in early 2023, landed on shortlists for the Aspekte Literature and the German Book prizes, and SPIEGEL magazine's best-seller list. Her first non-fiction book the M-Wort. Gegen die Verachtung der Moral / the M Word. Against Contempt for Morality went on sale this August, another Klett-Cotta book.
