Munich born Bianca Deigner studied at the Brigitte Kehrer school for fashion design in Stuttgart before joining the Staatstheater in Stuttgart in 2002, where she worked as assisting costume designers on plays directed by Dimiter Gotscheff, Karin Henkel and Ulrich Rasche. She started working freelance in 2006, designing costumes for theatres and opera houses including the National Opera in Oslo, the Residenztheater in Munich, the Opera de Lille (a co-production with the Philharmonie de Paris), Det Norske Teatret, Theater Münster, the Berlin Ensemble, Staatsoper in Hannover, Schauspiel Leipzig, Oper Bonn and Theater Freiburg with directors including Mariame Clément, Claus Guth, Enrico Lübbe, Silvia Costa, Peer Perez Øian, Eike Weinreich, Lydia Bunk and Andrea Schwalbach.
