Daniela Selig is working at Oper Frankfurt for the first time, on this new production of Aribert Reimann’s L’invisible. After studying costume design at the University for Applied Science in Hamburg and set design at the University of Arts in Berlin Weissensee she started working as a freelance set and costume designer in 2001, staging works with directors including Tom Kühnel / Jürgen Kuttner, Falk Richter, Daniela Löffner, Peter Kastenmüller, Sandra Strunz and Schorsch Kamerun at places including the Deutsche Theater Berlin, the Schaubühne in Berlin, Kammerspiele in Munich, Zurich Schauspielhaus, Theater Basel, Schauspiel Hannover and the Dramaten in Stockholm. She also designed costumes for films including Florian Hoffmeister’s 3 Degrees Colder (which won the Silver Leopard in Locarno for »Best Film by a Young Director«), Hal Hartley’s Fay Grimm and Nicolette Krebnitz’s The Heart’s a Mysterious Wood. Daniela Selig lives in Berlin.
