Frank Keller qualified as a Lighting Master in 1996 after training as an electrician and has worked as a lighting designer at Oper Frankfurt since 1989. Productions on which he worked for the company have included Humperdinck's Königskinder, Tosca, Die verkaufte Braut, Die tote Stadt, Manon and Macbeth  in the main house and La Calisto, Mozart's La finta giardiniera, Joneleit's Piero – Ende der Nacht (co-production between Oper Frankfurt and the Munich Biennale), Five movements (new works by young composers for opera) and Handel's Teseo in the Bockenheimer Depot. He also designed the lighting for Arnulf Hermann's Wasser/Water (director: Florentine Klepper) in Frankfurt and at the 2012 Munich Biennale. He has been in charge of lighting and the technical department at Kammeroper Frankfurt since 1992, where he recently lit Rossini's L'inganno felice.
