Christina Becker

Christina Becker studied audiovisual media in Hamburg. Born in Kirghizia, she began teaching video and audio technique at the University for Applied Sciences in Hamburg in 2011, where she also works creating short film projects, audio and video installations. She has worked designing lighting and videos for several productions in theatres. Now she is back at Oper Frankfurt for this new production of Eötvös' Tri Sestry / Three Sisters, where she has worked on new productions of Trojahn's Enrico and Riehm's Sirenen (director: Tobias Heyder) and Das schlaue Füchslein / The Cunning Little Vixen (director: Ute M. Engelhardt). Other productions have included The wonderful Wizard of Oz at the Lichthof Theater in Hamburg, 3 Sekunden / 3 Seconds at Theater Bremen and Schluss mit Sehnsucht! / No More Yearning! Drei Schwestern / Three Sisters at Kampnagel Hamburg. She also made a documentary for ARTE (television) about Kirghizia, where she was born.
