After carrying audiences in Frankfurt away with his interpretation of Werther in 2014 this American tenor returned in 2018 to sing Arturo in Bellini’s I Puritani, proving his extraordinary talent again. Belcanto's his strength: John Osborn conquers technical problems effortlessly, the highest notes pose no obstacle at all, mastering many daunting roles by Rossini, Donizetti and French Grand Opéras by Halévy in his own indomitable style. Don't miss him when he comes back to Frankfurt later this season to sing Éléazar in a new production of La Juive. He will also be singing the title role in Berlioz’ La damnation de Faust and Tito in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito. Much of his artistic output is documented on CD and DVD, including Norma, Giullaume Tell, Benvenuto Cellini and Les contes d’Hoffmann.
