The tenor Jonas Boy studied at the University for Music in Mainz, where he graduated in September 2017, with Andreas Karasiak. During his time there he sang in Britten's The little sweep and Mozart's La finta giardiniera. In 2015 he sang Amindo in Scarlatti's Die Irrungen der Liebe at Hessen's Staatstheater in Wiesbaden. He also took part in many projects run by the Exzellenz programme »BarockVokal«, which gave him the chance of working with people like Andreas Scholl, Michael Hofstetter, Konrad Junghänel, Masaaki Suzuki and Ton Koopman, and has sung at the Schwetzing Festival and Cologne Opera. He sang in the chorus in new productions of Xerxes and Betulia Liberata at Oper Frankfurt last season.
