Anthony Muresan, who was born in Pforzheim in 2002, started piano lessons when he was four. He joined the Aurelius Sängerknaben (boy's chorus) Calw as a soprano and soloist when he was 7 and was quickly chosen for solo work. He has been a member of the University for Music in Karlsruhe's Pre College since 2015, studying with Prof. Hanno Müller-Brachmann and Miriam Kurrle, and receives a scholarship from the Jürgen Ponto Foundation for young artists. That year he won the most points and first prizi in the category »Duo Song, Voice and Piano«. Anthony Muresan has also performed in musicals and oratorios. In the spring of 2017 he appeared as a soloist on SWR television. He has sung at the Opéra National in Paris, the Staatsoper Berlin and Semperoper in Dresden in operas including Mozart's Zauberflöte and Cavalieri's Rappresentationen di anima e di corpo. He is now back at Oper Frankfurt, where he made his triumphant debut earlier this season as Yniold in Pelléas et Mélisande, to sing the Shepherd Boy in Tosca.
