This Swedish soprano, who started her career at the Volksoper in Vienna and Komische Oper Berlin, appears regularly in leading concert halls and opera houses around the world including those in London, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Milan and Vienna. Now she is back at Frankfurt, where she enjoyed huge success and thrilled audiences with her extraordinary portrayals of Strauss leading ladies: Daphne, the Marschallin and Arabella and, more recently, as Lady Harriet in Flotow's Martha (CD available, OehmsClassics), in recital. We look forward to finding out which works she will lend her magical, silvery voice and emotions to. She is accompanied by the pianist Sarah Tysman, with whom she has recently issued a Strauss CD. HERE'S their programme!
