FROM OPER FRANKFURT
The Museumorchester's concerts are a reminder of the social importance of live music, especially in times of pandemic. While cultural life is still severely restricted we, the musicians of the Museum Orchestra, give concerts in public that are freely accessible in the city centre. Experiencing live music is possible again after months of silence.
But that's not all. Please help us support two important projects:
The German Orchestra Foundation's Emergency Relief Fund is collecting money to help freelance musicians who have been badly affected by the pandemic, and have not been paid to perform in public for months. It will be a long time before they can stand on their own feet again. The Emergency Aid Fund supports them with work scholarships in the #MusiciansEmergencyAid campaign.
The Frankfurt based ProMusica e.V. association, the personal commitment of its members and support programmes, strive to give every child direct access to a (musical) cultural education. All children should benefit from exposure to good music and, if interested, receive professional singing or instrumental lessons.
The patron is Frankfurt's minister for culture, Dr. Ina Hartwig.
We thank those responsible for the St. Katharinengemeinde Frankfurt for their hospitality, Oper Frankfurt and the Frankfurt Museums-Gesellschaft for their support!
