The season, day by day

Christiane Karg (soprano)
& Malcolm Martineau (piano)

She’s certainly no stranger in Frankfurt, where she was a much loved member of the Ensemble from 2008 to 2013 before setting out to conquer other leading stages in the world, where she appears regularly, including those in Munich, Vienna, Salzburg, Paris, Milan, Chicago and New York. Her Mélisandes, Paminas and Susannas in Frankfurt were unforgettable. She trained at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, winning more prizes than other soprano in  recent times and is much sought-after for concert work, oratorios, Mahler symphonies and works such as Schumann’s Peri. She's also passionate about Lieder singing, appearing regularly at venues including the Schubertiades, the Boulez Saal in Berlin, Musikverein in Vienna (in her own residence), the Wigmore Hall in London and Musikverein in Graz. She and KunstKlang started their own chamber music festival in her home town of Feuchtwangen. Her interpretations of Strauss can be heard on many CDs, alongside carefully selected rarities. She gave a recital here in 2018 and now you've got the chance of hearing her again!
