Symphony Nr. 2 in c minor op.17 »Little Russian«

Sebastian Weigle conductor
Tchaikovsky's second symphony is one of his less known, although it was an immediate success and hailed as a »national achievement« - mainly due to to the inclusion of bits of Russian and Ukrainian folk songs. Sebastian Weigle continues his cycle of Tchaikovsky symphonies with the "Little Russian", which is preceded by Prokofiev's Sinfonia concertante.
