This tenor from Las Vegas is making his debut in Germany singing Des Grieux in this new production of Manon Lescaut at Oper Frankfurt. This young singer has enjoyed great success at leading opera companies in North America, including Los Angeles Opera where he made his debut in 2016 as Macduff in Macbeth alongside Plácido Domingo in the title role. He sang Alfredo in La Traviata at San Diego Opera in 2017 and Washington National Opera a year later, the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto at various international opera houses and started singing Rodolfo in La Bohème this year, a role he will sing at the Komische Oper in Berlin in 2020. He made his debut at the Glyndebourne Festival in 2018 singing Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, a role he has also sung in Santa Fe. He was Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor) at Florida Grand Opera in Miami and Arcadio (Florencia en el Amazonas, by Daniel Catán) at Houston Grand Opera. Concert work has included Beethoven 9 on a European tour with the Simón Bolivar Orchestra under Gustavo Dudamel, under whose baton he also sang in Haydn's Creation with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He received a 2016 Grammy Award for his performance on a CD of Corigliano's The ghosts of Versailles.
