In 2017/18 Nina Tarandek sang Dorabella (role debut) Così fan tutte and repeated her wonderful portrayal of Angelina in La Cenerentola in Frankfurt. During the 2018/19 season her roles include 2nd Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Laura in a new production of Tchaikovsky's Iolanta, Curra in a new production of La forza del destino and Waltraute in Die Walküre. Roles with which she has enjoyed great success here in recent seasons have included Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Sesto (Giulio Cesare in Egitto), Giovanna (Rigoletto), Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor), Kate (Owen Wingrave), The Dark Lady (Reimann's Die Gespenstersonate / Ghost Sonata), Antonia (Tiefland), Aloès (Chabrier's L’Étoile) and Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro). She sang the female lead role in Sciarrino's Luci mie traditrici, a 2010 co-production with the Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte Montepulciano (available on CD & DVD). Nina Tarandek's recent guest engagements have included invitations to the Semperoper in Dresden, the Theater an der Wien, the Volksoper in Vienna, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Theater Freiburg, Vilnius City Opera and the Teatro Teresa Carreño Caracas. Concert work has included appearances with the hr (Hessen Radio)-Sinfonieorchester, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic in China.
