Jessica Rose Cambio
The Italian / American soprano Jessica Rose Cambio is making her debut at Oper Frankfurt singing the title role in Manon Lecaut and joins the ensemble at Theater Erfurt at the beginning of the 2021/22 season. She recently made her debuts at Theater Osnabrück, as Alice Ford (Falstaff), Tulsa Opera, as Liù (Turandot) and New Orleans Opera as Nedda (Pagliacci), a role she has sung for New York City Opera. She sang Mimì (La Bohème) at the Semperoper Dresden and Royal Albert Hall in London and, as winner of the AsLiCo (Associazione Lirica e Concertistica), at theatres in Como, Brescia, Pavia, Cremona, Knoxville Opera, Sarasota Opera and with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Other engagements have included Nedda, Violetta (La traviata) at Opera på Skäret in Sweden and West Green House Opera in England, Luisa (Luisa Miller), Giselda (I Lombardi alla prima crociata), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Magda (La Rondine), Beatriz (Catán's La Hija de Rappaccini) and Monika (La Fiamma), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Lucia di Lammermoor, Anna Bolena and Maria Stuarda. Much sought-after for concert work she has appeared at venues including the Barbican in London, Carnegie Hall in New York and Peking. Jessica Rose Cambio has been awarded scholarships and won prizes at many international competitions. She obtained her Master of Music from the University of Southern California and her Master of Arts in Italian literature from Hunter College.
